Claudio Mingazzini, coordinator of FENICE, will speak at AMPP event (www.amppitaly.org/genoa/2024/) on June 11th, about "Maintenance Protocols for Recently Developed, More Sustainable, Off-Shore Composite Wind Blades." Mingazzini will discuss the long-term sustainability of composite wind blades, focusing on on closed-loop recyclability and long-term performance in off-shore applications. The presentation will cover a variety of topics, including improvements in fibers and resins for better recycling, manufacturing methods of sandwich structures, specific strength, impact and fatigue resistance, long term reliability, surface finishing, and maintenance protocols, which were developed in the FENICE project, emphasizing the possible advantages of the adoption of these advancements also in wind sector.
